About Pakistan Scouts Cadet College Batrasi
"Pakistan Scouts Cadet College Batrasi is located on Mansehra – Balakot Road,
at a picturesque lush green spot in Batrasi hills at a distance of 16KM from Mansehra City.
The institution offers clean and healthy environment close to nature. The area bounds in numerous natural springs of pure limpid water, pine forests and fruit gardens.
It is fully residential, functions on public school system and fallows the courses of study prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Abbottabad.
The Pakistan Scouts Cadet College Batrasi, due to its history, inherits some unique Scouting Traditions that will always form an important part of its ethos. Efforts are made to infuse in scout cadets the “Scouting Spirit”. They are required to put on Scout Uniform during all Scout activities and receive training for community service and Scout skills through Scout badge system. In order to widen their mental horizon, they are offered ample opportunities of exposure and participation in important Scout events within the country and abroad; such as Moots, Jamborees and Youth Forums. This institution with a strong base on Scouting adventure training and outdoor activities, is the first of its kind in the whole World.
COLLEGE AIMS
1. To produce “FIRST RATE CITIZENS OF PAKISTAN”
2. To Supplement government efforts in provision of education giving fillip to youth training in the country.
3. Prepare for Secondary and Intermediate Certificates of Education & Orientation training for induction in Armed Forces of Pakistan.
4. To generate patriotism and strengthen belief in ideology of Pakistan and Islamic values.
5. To create an atmosphere of high expectations in which talents of all kinds and degrees are recognized and encouraged so that scout cadets are able to achieve their full intellectual, creative and physical potential.
6. To help develop inquisitive minds, giving Cadets the ability to question and argue rationally.
7. To develop a caring community exercising concern and respect for moral values and for the welfare of others, together with tolerance of other races, religions and ways of life.
8. To help the cadets to use English Language (the international lingua franca) effectively and imaginatively in reading, writing and speaking.
9. To give every scout cadet a continuing sense of enjoyment and achievement.
10. To provide a base of mathematical, scientific and technical knowledge, enabling scout cadets to learn the essential skills needed in a fast changing world.
